Raneem Shahin
Ranim Shaheen is a first-generation Palestinian American engineer contributing to the development of next-generation spacesuits designed to return humans to the lunar surface and advance future space exploration. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, to parents from Gaza and Ramallah, Ranim’s journey reflects resilience, identity, and bold ambition. She began her career in human resources at NASA through a prime contractor at age 19 before launching her own staffing agency focused on placing talent in the space industry. After selling her business, she returned to pursue a master’s degree in engineering with a focus on aeronautics. Selected as one of the first Palestinian American women on a path toward space, Ranim is passionate about inspiring underrepresented communities and proving that heritage is strength, not limitation.
